Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor who is best known as a character on the well-known TV series 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. He discovered his love for acting during his time in the college classroom and then studied acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has appeared in both TV and films, however the small screen characters which earned him fame and a large audience. He can play both characters from the side of the police and the different.
